Board Member wins national award in Conservation Architecture

Photo from U of R, 2021.

This post is to recognize the accomplishments of one of our board members, James Youck, principle architect of P3 Architecture. After six years of conservation work at Darke Hall, the building has reopened. The work has been recognized with an award of merit in Conservation Architecture from the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals. This is a great award to bring awareness to Regina’s beautiful architecture and history. Darke Hall was originally built in 1929 by benefactor Francis Darke, with additions in the 1960’s. Since it was built, Darke Hall has been enjoyed by many as a focal point in Saskatchewan’s art and performance scene.
