Haunted Places: Casino Regina

Casino Regina used to be home to the Canadian Pacific Railway train station. The station was one of the founding buildings in Regina, with the main larger building being built in 1912. The building became The Casino Regina in 1996, and it is known for a range of paranormal activity. Sightings include train station employees, a figure of an unknown woman that wanders the upper levels of the casino (who was captured in a photo of an empty room in the 1930’s), and another ghost in the basement.

The basement was used as underground holding cells in the early 1900’s, and a prisoner still haunts the basement to this day. He is thought to be a prisoner who died trying to escape trial. Disembodied voices have been heard, as staff members noticed doors opening and closing by themselves, and objects disappearing to reappear somewhere else.
