Poole Construction Ghost Sign
This ghost sign is located at 1378 Hamilton Street, now home of The Everyday Kitchen. The sign reads “Poole Construction Company LTD”. Ernie Poole founded the construction business in 1904 in Southeastern Saskatchewan, and in 1914 settled into the head office in Regina. Today the company is known as PCL Construction, and is Canada’s largest construction contractor. Part of this success was from the Poole family selling the business to the workers in 1977, which created invested interest for the workers to want the business to succeed.
